Field-Replaceable Units in ACX710 Routers

 

Field-replaceable units (FRUs) are components that you can replace at your site. The following are the ACX710 FRUs:

  • Fan tray

  • Optical transceivers

Caution

Replace a failed fan tray with a new fan tray within three minutes of removal to prevent chassis overheating. Do not operate the router with missing FRUs for longer than one minute.

If you have a Juniper J-Care service contract, register any addition, change, or upgrade of hardware components at https://www.juniper.net/customers/csc/management/updateinstallbase.jsp. Failure to do so can result in significant delays if you need replacement parts. This note does not apply if you replace existing components with the same type of component.

Note

Before removing the optical transceivers, we recommend that you disable the interface using the set interfaces interface-name disable command.
