Switching Plane Cables and Transceivers for a Routing Matrix with TX Matrix Plus Routers


Switching plane cable lengths from 4 m to 100 m are supported to accommodate both centralized and distributed rack configurations. You can order switching plane cable lengths of 4 m, 6 m, 8 m, 10 m, 12 m, 15 m, 20 m, 25 m, 30 m, 35 m, 40 m, 45 m, 50 m, 55 m, 60 m, 65 m, 70 m, 75 m, 80 m, 85 m, 90 m, 95 m, and 100 m from Juniper Networks.

For switching plane cables between SIBs:


You must use the same length for every switching plane cable from a particular line-card chassis to the TX Matrix Plus router. However, you do not need to use the same length for all switching plane cables within a routing matrix.

Fiber-Optic Array Cables for TXP-F13 SIBs and TXP-T1600 SIBs

The fiber-optic array cables connect the TXP-F13 SIBs to the TXP-T1600 SIBs. The fiber-optic array cable is shown in Figure 1.

CXP Transceivers for TXP-F13-3D SIBs and TXP-LCC-3D SIBs

The CXP transceiver shown in Figure 2 inserts into the TXP-F13-3D ports on the TX Matrix Plus router and the TXP-LCC-3D ports in the line-card chassis (LCC).

After you insert the CXP transceivers into the TXP-F13-3D SIB ports or TXP-LCC-3D SIB ports, you connect the CXP cables shown in Figure 3 to the CXP transceivers.

Active Optical Cable Transceiver for TXP-F13-3D SIBs and TXP-LCC-3D SIBs

The active optical cable (AOC) transceiver is shown in Figure 4. The optical transceivers are embedded within the cable and are optimized for the speed and distance of the cable. Active optical cable (AOC) transceivers accept electrical inputs, and convert it into optical for transmission over the cable before conversion back to electrical at the remote end.
