TX Matrix Plus TXP-F13-3D SIB Description

• Switch Fabric ASICs.

• High-speed electrical links through the midplane to the TXP-F2S-3D SIBs on the same switching plane.

TXP-F13-3D SIBs (see Figure 1) are hot-removable and hot-insertable.

• Sixteen ports labeled 0 through 15 provide high-speed fiber-optic links to the line-card chassis (LCC).

  • When the lcc-mode is set to T4000 mode, the TXP-LCC-3D SIBs in LCC0 or LCC4 connect to TXP-F13-3D ports 0 through 7. The TXP-LCC-3D SIBs in LCC2 or LCC6 connect to ports 8 through 15.

  • When the lcc-mode is set to T1600 mode, the TXP-LCC-3D SIBs in LCC0, LCC1, LCC4 and LCC5 connect to TXP-F13-3D ports 0 through 7. The TXP-LCC-3D SIBs in LCC2 and LCC3, or LCC6, and LCC7 connect to ports 8 through 15.

• Three LEDs, labeled OK , FAIL, and ACTIVE, show the status of the link to the router.

• Two port LEDs, labeled CBL and LNK, are located below each port.

• The SIB button to the left of the ports brings the TXP-F13-3D SIB online and offline.

• Four LCC SIB buttons labeled LCC 0, LCC 1, LCC 2, and LCC 3 . To bring Use the corresponding LCC button on the TXP-F13-3D SIB to bring the optical links online or offline on the corresponding TXP-LCC-3D SIB connected to that TXP-F13-3D SIB.
