T1600 Line-Card Chassis Control Board (LCC-CB) Description

 

The LCC-CBs (see Figure 1) must be installed before you can connect a T1600 router to a TX Matrix Plus Router.

The LCC-CB is required for both RE-DUO-C1800-8G and RE-DUO-C1800-16G Routing Engines.

Each LCC-CB consists of the following components:

  • 100-MB Ethernet switch for intermodule communication.

  • PCI bus to the Routing Engines.

  • Switch processor mezzanine board (SPMB).

The following components are located on the LCC-CB faceplate:

  • Two configuration switches:

    • The M/S configuration switch must be set to M before you connect the LCC-CB to a TX Matrix Plus Router. The switch must be set to S for a standalone T1600 router.

    • The CHASSIS ID configuration switch is set to 0 through 4 to indicate the LCC number for the T1600 router. The CHASSIS ID configuration switch must always be set to 0 for a standalone T1600 router.

  • Three LEDs labeled MASTER, FAIL, and OK indicate its status.

  • The online/offline button.

  • Six RJ-45 ports labeled SFC0 through SFC5. SFC0 connects to the TX Matrix Plus router. Two LEDs labeled LINK and ACT indicate the status of SFC0. SFC1 through SFC5 are not currently supported.

  • One JCS port, which is not used. The LINK LED for this port is also not currently supported.
