TX Matrix Plus Rear Switching Plane Cable Management System

 

The TX Matrix plus rear switching plane cable management system installs in the rear and top of the TX Matrix Plus switch fabric chassis (SFC). It organizes, supports, and provides strain relief for the switching plane cables connected to the F13 SIBs.

Note

We recommend that you use the TX Matrix plus rear cable management system to maintain the switching plane cable bend radius.

Caution

You must maintain a minimum bend radius of 4 in. (10.2 cm) short term, and 3 in. (7.6 cm) long term.

The TX Matrix plus rear switching plane cable management system consists of three shelves connected to four cable management arms.

TX Matrix Plus Rear Cable Management System for TXP-F13 SIBs

For the TXP-F13 SIBs, the switching plane cables (see Figure 3) are routed to the sides of the TX Matrix Plus router, and then toward the top of the chassis, where you can route the cables to the T1600 line-card chassis. The cable management system adds 9 in. (22.86 cm) to the depth of the chassis.

Figure 1 shows the TX Matrix Plus cable management system. This cable management system supports TXP-F13 SIBs only.

Table 1 shows the routing of the fiber-optic array cables from a TXP-F13 SIB. For example, cables connected to the odd side of theTXP-F13 SIBs in slots 0 through 7 are routed to the upper right cable management arm.

Each cable management arm has eight cable clamps (Figure 2). Each cable clamp contains four cable dividers labeled A, B, C, D, one divider for each cable (Figure 3).

The cable management comb assembly installs on the top of the chassis and adds 17 in. (43.18 cm) to the height of the chassis.

TX Matrix Plus Rear Cable Management System for TXP-F13 SIBs and TXP-F13-3D SIBs

For the TXP-F13 SIBs and TXP-F13-3D SIBs, the switching plane cables (see Figure 3) are routed to the sides of the TX Matrix Plus router, and then toward the top of the chassis, where you can route the cables to the line-card chassis (LCC). The cable management system adds 9 in. (22.86 cm) to the depth of the chassis.

Figure 4 shows the TX Matrix Plus cable management system (model number CBL-MGR-TXP-3D-SFC), which consists of three shelves connected to four cable management arms.

Table 2 shows the routing of the switching plane cables from a TXP-F13-3D SIB. For example, cables connected to ports 0 through 7 on theTXP-F13-3D SIBs in F13 slots 0 through 7 are routed to the upper left cable management arm. See Table 1 for routing fiber-optic array cables from a TXP-F13 SIB.
