Defining CoS Drop Profiles (J-Web Procedure)

You can use the J-Web interface to define CoS drop profiles on EX4500 and EX8200 switches.
To configure CoS drop profiles:
- Select Configure > Class of Service > Drop Profile.
Note: After you make changes to the configuration on this page, you must commit the changes immediately for them to take effect. To commit all changes to the active configuration, select Commit Options > Commit. See Using the Commit Options to Commit Configuration Changes (J-Web Procedure) for details about all commit options.
- Select one of the following options:

Field | Function | Your Action |
---|---|---|
Drop Profile Name | Specifies the name for a drop profile. | Type the name. |
Drop profile graph | Specifies the drop profile graph type | Select one: Segmented or Interpolated. |
Drop profile values | Specifies values for the following two parameters of the drop profile: the queue fill level and the drop probability. The queue fill level represents a percentage of the memory used to store packets in relation to the total amount that has been allocated for that specific queue. The drop probability is a percentage value that correlates to the likelihood that an individual packet is dropped from the network. | To add new values:
To edit an existing value, click Edit and modify the fill level and drop probability. To delete a value, select it and click Delete. |
