Monitoring the SRX240 Services Gateway Components Using LEDs

The LEDs available on the services gateway display the status of various components. Table 32 describes the LEDs.

Table 32: Component LEDs on the SRX240 Services Gateway

LED

State

Meaning

Possible Causes and Corrective Actions

Status LED

Green

The services gateway is functioning normally.

Normal condition. No action is required.

Yellow

  • The services gateway is starting up.
  • The Reset Config button is pressed.

Normal condition. No action is required.

Red

An error is detected in the services gateway.

Contact the Juniper Networks Technical Assistance Center (JTAC). See Juniper Networks Technical Assistance Center.

Alarm LED

Red

The services gateway detects a major alarm.

A major alarm reports a critical situation on the gateway that requires immediate action. See Monitoring the SRX240 Services Gateway Using Chassis Alarm Conditions .

Yellow

Indicates a minor alarm.

Note: The Alarm LED glows Yellow while initializing.

A minor alarm requires monitoring or maintenance. If left unchecked, it might cause an interruption in service or degradation in performance. See Monitoring the SRX240 Services Gateway Using Chassis Alarm Conditions .

Off

The services gateway is starting up.

Note: When the system is up and running, if the Alarm LED is off, it indicates that no alarms are present on the services gateway.

Normal condition. No action is required.

Power LED

Green

The services gateway is receiving power supply and is functioning normally.

Normal condition. No action is required.

Yellow

The Power button has been pressed and quickly released.

Normal condition. No action is required.

Off

The services gateway is not receiving power.

Normal condition if the services gateway is switched off. No action is required.

If you have not powered off the services gateway, verify that the AC power cord from the power source to the services gateway is not damaged, the socket is in working condition, and the services gateway has an AC input voltage between 110 and 240 VAC. See Monitoring the SRX240 Services Gateway Power System.

HA LED

Off

The services gateway is not part of the chassis cluster setup.

Mini-PIM LED

Green

The Mini-PIM is present and detected by the services gateway.

Normal condition. No action is required.

Off

The Mini-PIM is not present or is not detected by the services gateway.

See Monitoring the SRX240 Services Gateway Using Chassis Alarm Conditions .

DC Power Feed LEDs

Green

Output is normal.

Normal condition. No action is required.

Red (blinking)

The port has detected a failure.

Input is connected but has failed because the power supply fuse has failed or the input voltage is low.

  • Verify that the source circuit breaker has the proper current rating. Each power supply must be connected to a separate source circuit breaker.
  • Check whether the DC power cables from the power source to the services gateway are not damaged. If the insulation is cracked or broken, immediately replace the cable.
  • Contact the Juniper Networks Technical Assistance Center (JTAC). See Juniper Networks Technical Assistance Center.

Red (steady)

The port has detected a failure.

Both inputs are normal, but no output because of an output side failure or an open connection.

Off

No output

Normal condition if the services gateway is switched off. No action is required.
