QoS Profile Configuration

You can create quality of service (QoS) profiles based on the IP precedence and DSCP markings of the incoming packets. Two types of QoS profiles are created:  IP Precedence profile (PP) and DSCP profile (DP). Each QoS profile consists of several entries. Each entry represents a single mapping between one DSCP or IP Precedence value and its designated QoS parameters.

Create QoS profiles for the incoming packets.

Profile Name: Indicates the name of the profile.

Profile Type: Indicates the type of profile.

Enter the necessary information:

ToS: Enter a type of service (ToS) value. The value ranges from 0 through 63 for DSCP. The value ranges from 0 through 7 for IP Precedence.

Priority: Enter the priority level of the packet that is sent out.  The value ranges from 0 through 7. Zero is the highest priority.

Policing Bandwidth (pbw): Enter a policing bandwidth value for the policy in kilobits per second (kbps). The range is 1 to 1000000 kbps.

Guaranteed Bandwidth (gbw): Enter a guaranteed bandwidth value for the policy in kilobits per second (kbps). The range is 1 to 1000000 kbps.

Maximum Bandwidth (mbw): Enter a maximum bandwidth value for the policy in kilobits per second (kbps). The range is 1 to 1000000 kbps.
