OSPFv3 Summary Route Importation

Route summarization reduces the number of routes that a router must maintain because it represents a series of network addresses as a single summary address. Once you have redistributed a series of routes from another routing protocol into an OSPFv3 routing domain, you can bundle the routes into one generalized, or summarized, network route.

To Summarize Imported Routes

  1. Enter the necessary information:

IPV6/Prefix: Enter the summarized IPv6 address and prefix length of the imported routes.

Tag: A value that acts as an identifier for the summarized prefix.

  1. Click Add to save the settings.

The new summarized route displays.

To Remove a Summarized Route

  1. Click Remove in the Action column of the route that you want to delete.

A system message prompts you to confirm the removal.

  1. Click OK to confirm the removal, or Cancel to cancel it.
