Proxy ARP Entry Configuration and Settings

When an administrator adds a proxy Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) entry to a particular interface, ScreenOS uses that interface to import traffic destined for the configured IP address range. The administrator can configure no more than 256 proxy ARP entries per interface.

The administrator can configure a proxy ARP entry on any interface. The security device responds to ARP requests that arrive at this interface if the destination falls within the proxy ARP entry IP range.

Tip: Use the proxy ARP entry along with a destination translation policy.
