Target Parameter Configuration

The administrator can configure a Simple Network Management Protocol version 3 (SNMPv3) target parameter. The target parameter is used when sending a trap to a target. The administrator can configure no more than 32 target parameters.

To Create a New Target Parameter

  1. Enter the following information:

Target Parameter Name: Specify the target parameter name. The name length must be no more 32 characters.

Filter Name: Specify the filter name.

Security Model: Select from the USM, V1, or V2C security models.

Security Level: Select from None, Auth, or Priv.

User Name: Specify the username.

Community: Displays the community to which the target parameter belongs.

  1. Click OK to save the configuration and add the target parameter.
