You can connect routing segments that cannot reach the backbone router using a connection called a virtual link.
To Create a Virtual
LinkEnter the necessary information:
Area ID: From the drop-down list, select the area ID that identifies the OSPFv3 area in which you want to create the virtual link.
Router ID: Enter a value that identifies the router to which you want to create a virtual link.
Click Add to save the settings.
The virtual link is added to the list. To set parameters for the virtual link, click Configure in the Action column. For more information, see OSPFv3 Virtual Link Settings. To delete a virtual link, click Remove in the Action column.
To Configure Virtual Link
ParametersTo configure parameters for a specific virtual link, click Configure in the Action column of the virtual link you want to configure. For more information, see OSPFv3 Virtual Link Settings.
To Remove a Virtual LinkClick Remove in the Action column of the virtual link that you want to delete.
A system message prompts you to confirm the removal.
Click OK to confirm the removal, or Cancel to cancel it.
