VACM Access Group Configuration

The security device administration can create View-based Access Control Model (VACM) access groups and the corresponding privileges. The administrator can configure up to 32 VACM access groups.

To Create a New VACM Access Group

  1. Enter the following information:

Group Name: Enter the name of the access group. The length of the access group name can be no more than 32 characters.

Security Model: Select from V1, V2c, USM, or Any. The default value is Any.

Security Level: Select from AUTH, PRIV, or None. The default value is None.

Note: If the security model is defined as V1, V2c, or USM, the security level must be configured.

Read View: Select the view name to specify the read access. The default value is None.

Write View: Select the view name to specify the write access. The default value is None.

Notification View: Select the view name to specify the notify access. The default value is None.

  1. Click OK to save the new VACM Access Group configuration settings.
