The administrator can configure no more than 32 SNMPv3 filters. The SNMPv3 filters are attached to a target (host).
To Create a New FilterEnter the following information:
Filter Name: Specify the name of the filter. The name length must be no more than 32 characters.
Subtree OID: Specify the object identifier of the subtree in the format x.x.x.x. An example of an OID entry is 1.3.6.1.1.2.3.4. The depth is limited to 128 bits.
Subtree Mask: One mask bit corresponds to an OID in the subtree. The format of the Mask is FF;FF;FF. The mask length is limited to 16 (128/8). If the OID corresponding bit in Mask is 1, signifies the bit is sensitive. If the OID corresponding bit in Mask is 0, signifies the bit is insensitive.Specify the object identifier of the subtree in the format x.x.x.x. An example of an OID entry is 1.3.6.1.1.2.3.4. The depth is limited to 128 bits.
For example:
Subtree OID: .1.3.6.1.1.2.3.4
Subtree Mask: 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 0
In this example, to meet the VACM requirements the first seven OIDs in
the subtree .1.3.6.1.1.2.3. The last OID is not taken into consideration
as the last bit in the mask is 0.
