Monitoring Configured and Operational Status of All Tunnels

Purpose

Display a summary of the configured and operational status of all L2TP tunnels.

Action

To display a summary of the configured and operational status of all L2TP tunnels:

host1#show l2tp tunnel summary

Meaning

Table 1 lists the show l2tp tunnel summary command output fields.

Field Name	Field Description
Administrative status	Administrative status of all tunnels: enabled—No restrictions on the creation and operation of sessions for this tunnel drain—Router will not create new sessions for this tunnel disabled—Router disabled existing sessions and will not create new sessions for this tunnel
Operational status	Operational status of all tunnels: up—Tunnel is available down—Tunnel is unavailable lower-down—Tunnel is unavailable because the destination supporting it is inaccessible not-present—Tunnel is unavailable because the hardware (such as a line module) supporting the tunnel is inaccessible

Administrative status

Administrative status of all tunnels:

enabled—No restrictions on the creation and operation of sessions for this tunnel
drain—Router will not create new sessions for this tunnel
disabled—Router disabled existing sessions and will not create new sessions for this tunnel

Operational status

Operational status of all tunnels:

up—Tunnel is available
down—Tunnel is unavailable
lower-down—Tunnel is unavailable because the destination supporting it is inaccessible
not-present—Tunnel is unavailable because the hardware (such as a line module) supporting the tunnel is inaccessible
