Command introduced before JunosE Release 7.1.0.

Description

Enables OSPF MD5 authentication for the remote-neighbor interface and configures the MD5 key. The no version deletes an MD5 key.

Note: If all the MD5 keys have been deleted, the authentication type is still MD5, but you need to configure MD5 keys. To disable MD5 authentication for the remote-neighbor interface, use the authentication-none command.

Options

• keyID—Key identifier in the range 1–255
• md5—Specifies use of the MD5 algorithm
• 0—Indicates the msgDigestKey is entered in unencrypted form (plaintext); this is the default option
• 8—Indicates the msgDigestKey is entered in encrypted form (ciphertext)
• msgDigestKey—OSPF password; string of up to 16 alphanumeric characters
