Syntax

[ no ] ip mtu [ mtuSize ]

Release Information

Command introduced before JunosE Release 7.1.0.

Description

Sets the maximum transmission unit size of IP packets sent on an interface. The no version restores the default value.

Options

• mtuSize—Maximum number of packet transmissions permitted on an interface; in the range 160–10240; default value is 0, which means that the router takes the value from a lower protocol layer
