Service Manager on E Series Broadband Services Routers, Release 13.2

The JunosE Service Manager application provides authentication, service selection, and service activation and deactivation to subscribers. The application also collects accounting information and statistics, and monitors subscriber and service sessions. Service management is effective for both RADIUS and CLI clients.

This page provides information that enables you to configure the Service Manager application for your subscribers on E Series routers.

Knowledge Base

Performance of subscriber logout impacted by Service Manager

Service Manager sessions are not removed when DCM subscribers logout

RADIUS Accounting statistics are not reported for Service Manager subscriber sessions

Service Manager may fail to remove subscriber sessions and service sessions

Service Manager sessions remain in a 'Delete' state after subscriber logout

Attempts to delete a virtual-router terminating Service Manager sessions may fail

Service Manager volume based services do not expire when the bandwidth limit is exceeded

Service Manager sends the wrong virtual-router context for ipv6 interfaces during service deactivation

QoS parameters which are created by Service Manager are not properly cleaned up on user disconnect

Service Manager services containing policies with an external parent group are not getting deactivated via a CoA

Accounting Stop is not consistently sent for subscribers using Service Manager and multiple services with accounting enabled

Service Manager subscriber sessions drop and the system CPU is stuck at 100% during login testing

Very large Acct-Session-Time value in Accounting-Stop with Service Manager macro defined

Stale Service Manager entries remain in a 'Configure' state when subscribers are passed the wrong attributes

Applying QoS parameters via Service Manager is not working for L2TP sessions where VLAN or ATM-VC is the desired reference

Removal of a Service Manager service-definition may cause others to no longer appear in the output of 'show configuration'

QoS Profile attachment through CoA (Service Manager) is not getting attached properly on L2TP-Session on LAC

Stale service-manager entries remain in the "Configure" state

Service-manager sessions are not cleaned up after running subscriber login tests

Service Management reports service definition failures after ISSU

Radius Accounting-Start message is being generated after a failed Service Activation

The ERX responds to a CoA request referencing an invalid service with an Ack instead of a Nak

How to setup service definition macro for statistics collection?

ERX responds with an ACK to CoA request referencing an invalid service Deactivation & Activation with no service present after complete execution

Missing interim radius accounting records for a service activated by CoA

Hierarchical rate-limit and color-mark profiles are always persistent and hence are not automatically deleted

SAE: The feature modify service session is not implemented for aggregate service session

Removing the HTTP Redirect URL from an interface also removes the HTTP server configuration from the parent virtual-router

HTTP local server does not SYN ACK any tcp SYN received
