RADIUS Dynamic-Request Server on E Series Broadband Services Routers, Release 13.2

The RADIUS dynamic-request server feature on E Series routers provides an effective, robust method to use RADIUS servers to centrally manage user sessions using Disconnect and Change-of-Authorization (CoA) messages received from RADIUS servers. This page provides information about the JunosE Software features that you can use to configure RADIUS dynamic-request servers on E Series routers.

Knowledge Base

RADIUS-initiated Lawful Intercept (LI): The Change-of-authorization-not-acknowledge(CoA-NAK) messages does not contain the error-cause code 503 within the error-cause attribute 101, if the accounting stop request remains in RADIUS accounting output queue.

CoA requests may become stuck in the pending list, eventually causing CoA to stop functioning

Sample configuration and test tool for RADIUS-Initiated Disconnect (RID)

RADIUS CoA using an IP/VR pair to identify the subscriber interface fails

Virtual-router deletion will fail if an invalid RADIUS CoA to enable Lawful Intercept is sent

ERX goes to 100% CPU Utilication after receiving a RADIUS CoA Request Message

ERX may drop Change of Authorization (CoA) packets under certain circumstances

RADIUS Initiated Disconnect fails with a Nak and error 504, 'Session-Context-Not-Removable'

Support for "RADIUS Disconnect-Request" functionality.

Sample configuration and test tool for RADIUS-Initiated Disconnect (RID)

Radius initiated CoA stops working when the retry counter reaches a value close to 36000

Radius start record doesn't contain framed-ip-address when using DHCP Local Server authentication mode

A Radius Accounting-Start message is being generated after a failed Service Activation

The ERX does not send a Change of Authorization (CoA) NAK in one scenario

CoA requests may become stuck in the pending list, eventually causing CoA to stop functioning

ERX goes to 100% CPU Utilication after receiving a RADIUS CoA Request Message

RADIUS CoA using an IP/VR pair to identify the subscriber interface fails

RADIUS CoA using an IP/VR pair to enable packet mirroing for a DHCP DSI interface fails

Missing interim radius accounting records for a service activated by CoA
