Syntax

terminal data-character-bits { 7 | 8 }

Release Information

Command introduced before JunosE Release 7.1.0.

Description

Sets the number of data bits available for characters for the current session on the terminal screen. There is no no version.

Options

• 7—Seven data bits per character; this setting supports only characters in the standard ASCII set
• 8—Eight data bits per character; this is the default setting, which supports the full set of 8-bit international characters
