Example: Configuring an Access Point Cluster (J-Web)
This example shows how to configure an access point cluster with the following settings:
- Select Configure>Wireless LAN>Clustering.
- In the Cluster Settings page, click Add.
- In the Add - Cluster window, select the Basic Settings tab.
- Next to Cluster ID, enter 1.
- Next to Cluster Name, enter cluster1.
- Next to Interface, select fe–0/0/5.
- Click OK to return to the Cluster Settings tab.
To add ap-1 to cluster id 1:
- In the Cluster Settings page, click Associate/Dissociate APs.
- In the Associate/Dissociate Access Points window,
select the access point ap-1 and click –> to make the access point ap-1 part of this
cluster.

Note: The access point ap-1 should be configured to associate it with the cluster.
- Click OK.
To configure cluster id 1 with the following settings:
- Under Radio ID, click Add.
- In the Add - Radio window, select the Radio tab.
- Under Radio Type, select Radio 1.
- Select the Radio Settings tab.
- Next to mode, select a.
- Next to Fragmentation threshold, enter 256.
- Select Protection.
- Click OK.
- Click Commit.
You can also add an access point to a cluster while configuring an access point.
To add an access point to a cluster ID:
- Select Configure>Wireless LAN>Settings.
- In the Add - Access Point window, select the Basic Settings tab.
- Next to Cluster ID, select 1.
- Click OK.
