Example: Configuring Dial Backup

In this example, you select ge-0/0/0 unit 0 as the primary interface for backup ISDN connectivity and configure dl0.0 as the backup dialer interface.

To configure a primary interface for backup connectivity:

1. Select the physical interface for backup ISDN connectivity.

   [edit]user@host# edit interfaces ge-0/0/0 unit 0

2. Configure the backup dialer interface.

   [edit interfaces ge-0/0/0 unit 0]user@host# set backup-options interface dl0.0
