Release Information
Statement introduced in Release 10.0 of Junos OS.
Description
Specify a regular expression for a digit transform rule. When a called number matches a digit pattern in the dial plan, if a digit transform rule is configured for the trunk group included in the route pattern, it is used to change the called number in some way before the call is routed to the PSTN. For example, you can create digit transform rules to transform numbers by adding digits to them, subtracting digits from the numbers, or changing the numbers. Digit transform rules can be used to prefix digits to a number and expand a telephone number.
A regular expression consists of literal text characters and special characters called metacharacters, which indicate or control how the text can vary in the target string.
