sip-registration (peer call server)
Syntax
Hierarchy Level
Release Information
Statement introduced in Release 10.2 of Junos OS.
Description
Disable SIP registration in a peer call server configuration so that the SRX Series media gateway (SRX Series MGW) does not register to the peer call server.
For some SIP networks, the peer call server is aware of all media gateways. In these SIP network environments, it is not necessary for the SRX Series MGW to register to the peer call server. If it were to do so, it would introduce additional network load unnecessarily. The peer call server might silently drop the registration message and the SRX Series MGW might attempt to register to it again.
![]() | Note: Disabling registration for the peer call server does not affect registration for foreign exchange (FXS) stations on the device. |
Options
disable—Disables registration of the SRX Series MGW to the peer call server.
enable—Enables registration of the SRX Series MGW to the peer call server.
