Release Information

Statement introduced in Release 9.6 of Junos OS.

Description

Configure a route pattern entry for a dial plan to specify a digit pattern against which called numbers are matched. A route pattern also includes trunk groups to be used to route calls that match the pattern and, optionally, a digit transform rule used to manipulate the called number before it is routed to the telephony service provider.

If the route pattern contains more than one trunk group, you can include a preference number that sets a precedence for that trunk group among the others. The first trunk in the preferred trunk group is used to route a call, if it is available. If not, the next trunk is tried, and so on, in order of preference through the trunk groups.

Options

The remaining statements are explained separately.
