registrar-address (peer call server)

Syntax

registrar-address (fqdn fqdn | ipv4-addr ipv4-address);

Hierarchy Level

[edit services convergence-services peer-call-server peer-call-server-name]

Release Information

Statement introduced in Release 10.2 of Junos OS.

Description

By default, the SRX Series media gateway (SRX Series MGW) peer call server configuration specifies a single address for the peer call server and the registrar. To support these functions as a single entity in a SIP network, the media gateway sends both REGISTER and INVITE messages to the address configured for the peer call server.

For some SIP networks, the peer call server and the registrar are separate entities. To accommodate these SIP network environments, you can specify separate addresses for the registrar and the peer proxy server. In this case, the SRX Series MGW sends INVITE messages to the peer call server address and REGISTER messages to the registrar address.

Options

fqdn—Fully qualified domain name (FQDN) address of the registrar for the SRX Series MGW to register to.

ipv4-address—IPv4 address of the registrar for the SRX Series MGW to register to.
