Release Information
Statement introduced in Release 10.2 of Junos OS.
Description
Configure a list of direct inward dialing (DID) numbers associated with a trunk to be used for assignment to stations. A DID number allows a party who knows the internal extension of a station’s phone to dial the full seven digits to place the call directly rather than going through an operator or auto-attendant.
DID numbers for the trunk are drawn and managed from this pool. You do not need to assign them to stations through the configuration. A DID number is assigned exclusively to one station.
If an incoming call is made to an unassigned DID number, it is directed to and handled by auto-attendant.
