Description
Configure the call park feature to enable users to transfer an active call to a parking slot in a parking lot and pick up their own or another user’s call later. The call is transferred to an extension number for a slot within the range of slots specified for the main logical extension number.
When a user transfers a call, the extension number of the slot is announced. When a user wishes to pick up a call, they dial the slot extension number. The caller participating in the active call is unaware that the call is being transferred. .
After a call is resumed, its slot is available for another call to be placed on hold. If a user were to dial a slot extension number directly without a call having been parked, it is as if calling a number that does not exist. Slot numbers are created dynamically
To implement the call park feature, you configure a primary logical extension to be used as the parking lot. You must also configure a range of logical extensions following the primary one that are used as parking slots.
A call park station group can include up to 10 members.
Options
logical-extension-number—A logical extension number used to place calls on hold. A range of numbers is associated with this extension number to allow for multiple calls to be placed on hold concurrently.
number-of-slots—A number that specifies how many slots are associated with the main logical extension number. For example, a parking lot with the logical extension number 500 and the number of slots specified as 5 would have slot extension numbers 501, 502, 503, 504, 505 available to hold calls.
