Statement introduced in Release 10.0 of Junos OS.

If required, specify the authentication password to be used by the media gateway to authenticate to the peer call server.

The authentication information for the media gateway is configured at the peer call server.
The authentication password (and ID) credentials that you configure must match those configured at the peer call server.
An authentication password is required only if the peer call server challenges the media gateway to authenticate when it registers with it. The password that you configure is secret; It is not displayed.

Administrators at the media gateway site and the peer call server site must communicate to coordinate this information.

authentication-password—The authentication password to be used by the media gateway to authenticate itself to the peer call server.
