auth-id authentication-id;

Statement introduced in Release 10.0 of Junos OS.

If required, specify the authentication ID for the station.

For analog stations, specify the authentication ID used to authenticate to the SRX Series media gateway (SRX Series MGW).
When the SRX Series survivable call service (SRX Series SCS) is in control, analog stations do not need to authenticate to it because they are physically connected to the device. By default, the user’s station extension number is used.
For SIP stations. When the SRX Series SCS is in control, local SIP stations must authenticate to it. Previously they were registered to the peer call server. Because they are not directly connected to the SRX Series device, they must register to it.

authentication-id—The authentication ID to be used for the station.
