Statement introduced in Release 10.0 of Junos OS.

Description

Specify one or more of the supported codecs in the order of precedence in which they should be used and negotiated with the peer call server until a common one is found. If the peer call server does not support the suggested codecs, it responds with a list of the codecs that it supports.

Options

preferred-codecs—One or more codecs, specified in order of precedence. The following codecs are supported:

G711-A—A13-bit PCM 8-kHz sample, 64 Kbps bitstream
G711-μu—A 14-bit PCM 8-kHz sample, 64 Kbps bitstream
G729AB—CS-ACELP, 8 Kbps bitstream
