Troubleshoot PICs

To troubleshoot the PICs, follow these guidelines:

To check the status of each port on a PIC, look at the LED located on the PIC faceplate. For information about the meaning of LED states on different PICs, see the M5 and M10 Internet Routers PIC Guide.
To check the status of a PIC, issue the following CLI command. The PIC slots in the FPC are numbered from 0 through 3, right to left:
user@host> show chassis fpc pic-status

  PIC 0    4x OC-3 SONET, MM
  PIC 1    1x CSTM1, SMIR
  PIC 3    2x OC-3 ATM, MM
Slot 1 Online
  PIC 0    1x OC-12 SONET, MM

  PIC 2    2x OC-3 ATM, MM
  PIC 3    2x OC-3 ATM, MM
