Reinstalling the Routing Engine Panel and Fan Tray

The Routing Engine panel and fan tray installs immediately to the right of the Routing Engines, as shown in Figure 2. To reinstall the unit, follow this procedure (see Figure 39):

1. Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist and connect the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis. Verify that the router is attached to a proper earth ground. For more information about ESD, see Preventing Electrostatic Discharge Damage.
2. Grasp the handle on the faceplate of the unit with one hand and place the other hand under the unit to support it.
3. Slide the unit into the chassis.
4. Tighten the thumbscrews to seat the unit firmly in the chassis.
