Maintaining the FPCs

The router can have up to four Flexible PIC Concentrators (FPCs) mounted horizontally in the front of the chassis, as shown in Figure 1. To maintain FPCs, perform the following procedures on a regular basis:

• Check the FPC LEDs on the craft interface. The green LED labeled OK lights steadily when an FPC is functioning normally. For more information, see FPC LEDs and Offline Button.
• Issue the CLI show chassis fpc command to check the status of installed FPCs. As shown in the sample output, the value Online in the column labeled State indicates that the FPC is functioning normally:

  For more detailed output, add the detail option. The following example also specifies a slot number (0), which is optional:
