Maintaining the T640 SIBs
Purpose
For optimum router performance, verify the condition of the SIBs.
Action
On a regular basis:
- Observe the status of the SIBs by checking the LEDs on the SIB faceplate.
- To check the status of the SIBs using the CLI, issue the show chassis environment sib command. The output is similar
to the following:
user@host> show chassis environment sibState Online - Standby Temperature 32 degrees C / 89 degrees F Power GROUND 0 mV 1.8 V 1789 mV 1.8 V bias 1799 mV 2.5 V 2478 mV 3.3 V 3321 mV 3.3 V bias 3286 mV 5.0 V bias 5001 mV 8.0 V bias 7008 mV SIB 1 status: State Online Temperature 33 degrees C / 91 degrees F Power GROUND 0 mV 1.8 V 1807 mV 1.8 V bias 1794 mV 2.5 V 2483 mV 3.3 V 3306 mV 3.3 V bias 3299 mV 5.0 V bias 5008 mV 8.0 V bias 7072 mV SIB 2 status: State Online Temperature 34 degrees C / 93 degrees F Power GROUND 0 mV 1.8 V 1802 mV 1.8 V bias 1789 mV 2.5 V 2493 mV 3.3 V 3306 mV 3.3 V bias 3291 mV 5.0 V bias 5001 mV 8.0 V bias 6964 mV SIB 3 status: State Online Temperature 31 degrees C / 87 degrees F Power GROUND 0 mV 1.8 V 1794 mV 1.8 V bias 1794 mV 2.5 V 2505 mV 3.3 V 3296 mV 3.3 V bias 3299 mV 5.0 V bias 5020 mV 8.0 V bias 6822 mV SIB 4 status: State Online Temperature 35 degrees C / 95 degrees F Power GROUND 0 mV 1.8 V 1802 mV 1.8 V bias 1794 mV 2.5 V 2485 mV 3.3 V 3321 mV 3.3 V bias 3286 mV 5.0 V bias 4976 mV 8.0 V bias 7103 mV
