Troubleshooting the TX Matrix Plus SIBs
Problem
During normal operation:
- All TXP-F13 SIBs, TXP-F2S SIBs, and TXP-T1600 SIBs are online.
The following alarms and LEDs indicate a problem with the SIBs:
- On the craft interface, the red FAIL LED for a TXP-F13 SIB is on.
- An alarm occurs as shown in Table 1.
- Command output shows the SIB is Offline.
Solution
To troubleshoot the SIBs:
- Check the LEDs on the craft interface:
- Red FAIL LED for a TXP-F13 SIB on the craft interface is on—Use the CLI to check the status of the TXP-F13 SIB. For information about using the display, see TX Matrix Plus Craft Interface Overview.
- FAIL LED is lit steadily—Remove and install the TXP-F13 SIB or TXP-F2S SIB again. If the FAIL LED still lights steadily, the SIB is not functioning properly. Contact your customer support representative.
- Verify that the TXP-F13 SIBs SIB F13, TXP-F2S SIBs SIB F2S, and TXP-T1600 SIBs are online by
issuing the show chassis sibs command:

- Make sure the TXP-F13 SIB is properly seated in the midplane. Verfiy that each ejector handle has been turned clockwise and is tight.
