Connecting the SRX3400 Services Gateway to a Network for Out-of-Band Management
To connect the Routing Engine to a network for out-of-band management:
- Turn off the power to the management device.
- Plug one end of an Ethernet cable with RJ-45 connectors
(Figure 1 shows the connector)
into the RE ETHERNET 0 port on the front of the Switch Fabric
Board (SFB).

One Ethernet cable is provided with the device.
- Plug the other end of the cable into the network device.
