Upgrading the FPC Firmware in a T640 Router Before Integrating the Router into a Routing Matrix

Before integrating the T640 router with the TX Matrix router, you might have to upgrade the firmware on one or more FPCs in the T640 router. To upgrade the firmware, you must contact your customer support representative.

To determine if you need to upgrade the FPC firmware, display the version of the firmware on all FPCs by issuing the show system firmware command:

If the Current version field is not 6.4.18 or later for any FPC, you must upgrade the firmware for that FPC.
