Removing the M320 Installation Handle and Reinstalling the Power Supplies
After you have installed the router, remove the installation handle and reinstall the power supplies in the chassis, starting from the bottom, by following this procedure (see Figure 1):
- Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis. For more information about ESD, see Preventing Electrostatic Discharge Damage to an M Series, MX Series, or T Series Router.
- Loosen the captive screws on the installation handle completely, and remove the handle from the chassis.
- Switch the circuit breaker on the power supply faceplate to the off position (O).
- Using both hands, slide the power supply into the chassis until you feel resistance.
- Firmly push the power supply into the chassis until it comes to a stop. The power supply faceplate should be flush with any adjacent power supply faceplates.
- Tighten the captive screws on each side of the power supply faceplate to secure the power supply in the chassis.
- Repeat the procedure for the remaining power supplies.
