Minimum MSDP Configuration

To enable MSDP on the router, include at least the following statements:

You can include these statements at the following hierarchy levels:

• [edit protocols]
• [edit routing-instances routing-instance-name protocols]
• [edit logical-systems logical-system-name protocols]
• [edit logical-systems logical-system-name routing-instances routing-instance-name protocols]

You must configure at least one peer. The peer and the local-address statements are required. The router must also be a Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) sparse-mode rendezvous point (RP). For configuration information, see Configuring Local PIM RPs.
