Description

Configure BGP to drop path attributes from BGP neighbor updates during inbound processing. You specify one or more codes for the path attributes to be dropped.

Default

By default, drop-path-attributes is not enabled.

Options

path-attribute-codes—Configure one or more path attribute codes.

Range: 4 through 13, 16 through 255
Default: None

Usage Guidelines

You cannot configure BGP to drop the following types of attributes:

  • Mandatory attributes—1 (origin), 2 (AS path), and 3 (next hop).
  • Network-layer reachability information (NLRI) attributes—14 (MP reach) and 15 (MP unreach).
