set date

Syntax

set date (date-time | ntp <ntp-server> <source-address source-address>)

Command introduced before Junos OS Release 7.4.

Command introduced in Junos OS Release 9.0 for EX Series switches.

Description

Set the date and time.

Options

date-time

Date and time. Enter this string inside quotation marks.

ntp

Use a Network Time Protocol (NTP) server to synchronize the current date and time setting on the router or switch.

ntp-server

(Optional) Specify the IP address of one or more NTP servers.

source-address source-address

(Optional) Specify the source address that the router or switch uses to contact the remote NTP server.
