NSTRACED System Log Messages

This chapter describes messages with the NSTRACED prefix. They are generated by the USP trace process (nstraced).

NSTRACED_MEMORY_ALLOC_FAILED

System Log Message

Unable to allocate count bytes of memory

Description

The USP trace process (nstraced) could not allocate the indicated number of bytes of memory.

Error: An error occurred

Severity

Facility

LOG_DAEMON

Cause

System memory was exhausted.

Action

Increase the amount of RAM in the Routing Engine.

NSTRACED_RESTART_CFG_READ_FAILED

System Log Message

Subcomponent could not read configuration database

Description

When the USP trace process (nstraced) restarted, it could not read its configuration information from the configuration database.
