GPRSD System Log Messages

This chapter describes messages with the GPRSD prefix. They are generated by the general packet radio service process (gprsd) that integrates with existing GSM networks and offers mobile subscribers with packet switched data services access to corporate networks and the Internet.

GPRSD_MEMORY_ALLOC_FAILED

System Log Message

Unable to allocate count bytes of memory

Description

The general packet radio service daemon process (gprsd) could not allocate the indicated number of bytes of memory.

Cause

It is possible that system memory is exhausted.

Action

Increase the amount of RAM in the Routing Engine.

GPRSD_RESTART_CCFG_READ_FAILED

System Log Message

Subcomponent could not read configuration database

Description

As the general packet radio service daemon process (gprsd) restarted, one or more of its subcomponents could not read its configuration information from the configuration database. The gprsd process restarted regardless without affecting routing performance.
