Objectives

This guide describes how to use the J-Web user interface to configure, monitor, and manage Juniper Networks routers.

This guide is not directly related to any particular release of the Junos OS. To obtain the most current version of this manual, refer to the product documentation page on the Juniper Networks Web site, which is located at http://www.juniper.net.

Juniper Networks routing platform operations are controlled by the Junos OS. You can configure and manage the Junos OS through either a command-line interface (CLI) or a Web browser called the J-Web user interface. The J-Web interface works with most Web browsers, including Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. To use the J-Web interface, you must have access to a Web browser application on your system.

Note: For additional information about Junos OS—either corrections to or information that might have been omitted from this guide—see the software release notes at http://www.juniper.net/.
