Syntax

show system snapshot<all-members | local | member member-id><media (external | internal)><slice (1 | 2 | alternate)>

Command introduced in Junos OS Release 10.0 for EX Series switches.

Description

Display the complete collection of files in a snapshot.

Options

none

Display the system snapshot on the alternate media, which is the media that does not have the software packages that last booted the switch.

all-members | local | member member-id

(EX4200 switch only) Display the snapshot in a Virtual Chassis configuration:

  • all-members—Display the snapshot for each switch that is a member of the Virtual Chassis.
  • local—Display the snapshot on the switch that you are currently logged into.
  • member member-id—Display the snapshot for the specified member switch of the Virtual Chassis.
media (external | internal)

(Optional) Display the destination media location for the snapshot. The external option specifies the snapshot on an external mass storage device, such as a USB flash drive. The internal option specifies the snapshot on an internal memory source, such as internal flash memory.

slice (1 | 2 | alternate)

Display the snapshot in a partition:

  • 1—Display the snapshot in partition 1.
  • 2—Display the snapshot in partition 2.
  • alternate—Display the snapshot in the alternate partition, which is the partition that did not boot the switch at the last bootup.
