Policer Actions
The following actions are supported by policers:
- discard—Discard a packet that exceeds the rate limits.
- loss-priority level—Set the loss priority level.
- forwarding-class class-name—Specify the forwarding class for any class-name already configured.

Policer actions are implicit or explicit and vary by policer type. The term implicit means that Junos OS performs the action automatically. The term explicit means that the action is not configurable. Table 1 describes the policer actions.
