Policing Features
The JUNOS Software supports policing, or rate limiting, to limit the amount of traffic that passes through an interface. For information about rate limiting, see RFC 2698, A Two Rate Three Color Marker.
The JUNOS implementation of policing uses a token-bucket algorithm and supports the following features:
- Adaptive shaping for Frame Relay traffic
- Virtual channels
