Editing and Deleting an SNMP Server
SNMP servers are the destination for SNMP traps to be sent when a Service Now notification policy is triggered. You can modify the parameters of these SNMP servers and also delete them.
To edit an SNMP server:
- From the Service Now task ribbon, select Administration > Global Settings > SNMP Configuration. The SNMP Servers page is displayed.
- Select the SNMP server whose parameters you want to modify.
- Click Edit. The Edit SNMP dialog box is displayed.
- Make the desired changes to the parameters.
- Click Save. The changes are saved in the Service Now database. To verify, you can view the changes on the SNMP Servers page.
To delete an SNMP server:
- From the Service Now task ribbon, select Administration > Global Settings > SNMP Configuration. The SNMP Servers page is displayed.
- Select the SNMP server that you want to delete.
- Click Delete. The selected SNMP server is deleted from the Service Now database and will no longer appear on the SNMP Servers page.
