DOCSIS Mini-Physical Interface Module Overview

The Data over Cable System Interface Specifications Mini-Physical Interface Module (DOCSIS Mini-PIM) includes the following features:

• Provides a single cable modem interface for connecting to a cable modem termination system (CMTS) network
• Supports high-speed, bidirectional data transfer over an existing cable TV system
• Provides high-speed WAN connectivity

The following DOCSIS Mini-PIM models are available:

• DOCSIS 3.0 US
• EuroDOCSIS 3.0 and DOCSIS J (Japan)

Figure 1 shows the DOCSIS Mini-PIM front panel.
